Today thank fuck…is my last day of high dose steroids….tomorrow I cut them by half and then over the next few weeks totally withdraw off them. Today is my first “not having chemo” every 3 weeks too for the past 4 plus months. I am glad all of this shit was available as at the end of the day it saved my life – but I will be even “gladder” is that even a word?? (nah lol) when all those chemicals are out of my body and I can just rebuild my health and strength. Was fine with it all most of the way through (despite some bits) but the last couple of months has been like wading through quick sand. People say you must fight it all – well I am a natural fighter of most things – but in this case it has been less about fighting, more about accepting, and then working with it all. Would not want to have to start all of this from day 1 again though oy vez think my brain would come off for starters lol
